The folks behind the documentary film Murder in the Front Row: The San Francisco Bay Area Thrash Metal Story have teamed up with comedian Dave Hill to present a video that pays homage to the Crazy Eddie commercials of the 1970s and 1980s.

The video just premiered via the Laugh Button.

Murder in the Front Row arrives on DVD, Deluxe DVD, 4K, and HD via MVD on April 24. The film will be available in English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese and Greek and include more than 90 minutes of never-before-seen bonus footage.

The film premiered last year at the San Francisco Documentary Festival before embarking on a run of screening dates across at Alamo Drafthouses, arthouse cinemas, music venues and film festivals across the states.

Directed by Adam Dubin, the guy behind the Beastie Boys music videos for the tunes “Fight for Your Right To Party” and “No Sleep ’Til Brooklyn,” the film features more than 50 interviews with acts such as Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax, Exodus, Testament and Death Angel.

Comedian Brian Posehn provides the narration.

The movie follows the story of a group of young kids in Northern California with a passion for heavy rock bands like UFO, Iron Maiden and Motörhead.

“These are just good stories, and they are very human stories,” Dubin says in a press release. “All these bands were mainly from England, and they never really toured the West Coast, so these young people started creating their own music, starting their own fanzines, booking clubs and trading tapes. These were people who were adamant about music and the bands, but also each other.”
