Ike Reilly to Stream a Concert Featuring ‘Songs, Stories and Family Dysfunction’
Earlier this week, singer-songwriter Ike Reilly sent out an email announcing an upcoming livestream set to take place at 8pm CST on Saturday, March 28.
“I really hope you are all healthy and staying sane as we pull together to stop the spread of this virus,” the email read. “Obviously, shows and tours have been cancelled. Like so many other jobs, workplaces and businesses, musicians’ travel and public performances are rightly grounded to a halt. The good news is that the music continues to be written and sung and will continue to unite us.”
He’ll air the concert via Facebook Livestream and Instagram.
The Ike Reilly Association, Reilly’s backing band, will not perform with him because Reilly and his bandmates are practicing social distancing.
“In the absence of my band, I have forced my offspring to help me entertain you for this live performance,” Reilly says, adding that the show will feature “songs and stories and family dysfunction.”
