Shelter in Place with the Roots
The Roots, a group that in our estimation is among the best hip-hop acts ever, is coming to your house. The new content is created by the Roots and produced by their production company, Two One Five Entertainment, in partnership with Live Nation Urban.
You can find it on their YouTube channel.
In addition to the series rolled out previously, the roots have launched two new series, including Reconstruction w/ Stro Elliot and The Roots Present Live From the Archives, which will include live performances from over the years including the video they recently released of Pharrell at The Roots Picnic in 2017.
With the postponement of their annual concert event, the Roots Picnic, the Roots have decided to produce a suite of dynamic content on a weekly basis and offer it to fans as a form of entertainment while everyone is sheltering in place.
Each day, Questlove is delivering “impactful” live DJ sets in the effort to elicit donations are being made to the Food Hub NYC.
The content varies from short-form storytelling to live conversations with performances and podcasts peppered in. In the coming weeks, the group will add content featuring other influential artists, authors and “creatives.”
